Rebekah Driggers, MBA, FASPR
Physician Recruitment

Rebekah Driggers provides leadership for recruiting and retaining a medical staff of board-certified physicians who are committed to providing patient-centered quality care for Cone Health. Rebekah has been with Cone Health since July 2000. She continues to transform the Provider Recruitment Division into a first resource for resident, fellowship, and practicing physicians in their career search nationwide.

Some of her accomplishments include developing a Residency Retention Program for the Cone Health Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residents; transitioning an outsourced hospitalist group to an in-house program; medical staff planning; and consistently scoring in top decile for post-interview recruits' satisfaction measures.

As a certified Fellow of Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (FASPR), Rebekah demonstrates her commitment to continuing education and excellence in the discipline of physician recruitment. The Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR) is a professional organization exclusively for in-house physician/provider recruitment professionals and is nationally recognized as the leading authority on physician/provider recruitment and retention.

Prior to leading the physician recruitment team, Rebekah was an administrative fellow with Cone Health. She co-chaired tobacco-free initiative and was a United Way "Loaned Executive."

Growing up in North Carolina, Rebekah graduated from High Point University and earned her MBA from Wake Forest University's Babcock School of Management. Prior to joining Cone Health, she owned a bridal and formalwear business in High Point, NC. She is a member of the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters and Carolina Association of Physician Recruiters.

Desiree Downs, AASPR
Physician Recruitment

Desiree Downs is Cone Health's Physician Recruitment Coordinator. She has been with Cone Health since August 2015.

Desiree earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration with emphasis in healthcare management from Marshall University. She worked for Maxim Healthcare for four years recruiting healthcare professionals for private duty nursing, developing HR training materials, and serving as the company liaison with patients and their families. Since joining Cone Health's Physician Recruitment team, she has received excellent scores from physician candidates. Her engaging personality and depth of healthcare knowledge as well as her enthusiasm for her new home in Greensboro helps physician candidates learn about the area through her recent relocation.

She earned her certification as an associate through the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters in May 2016. She is a member of Carolinas Association of Provider Services and Association of Staff Physician Recruiters.

Courtney VanSweden
Physician Recruitment

Courtney VanSweden is Cone Health's Physician Recruitment Manager, holding primary responsibility for recruiting providers in Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, OB/GYN, General Pediatrics, Urgent Care, Geriatrics, and Hospitalists.

Courtney has more than seven years of recruitment experience, including more than four years as a healthcare recruiter at Carolinas Healthcare System. She has been an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Recruiter for the last two years at CHS, responsible for recruiting Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Certified Nurse Midwives and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists.

Courtney earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication from East Carolina University and holds a Human Resources Certification from Central Piedmont Community College. She is also a member of the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters and the regional Carolinas Association of Physician Services.
